The 2025 Cyber Awareness Challenge is a global initiative to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves online. The challenge is organized by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
The challenge is part of a larger effort to improve the nation’s cybersecurity posture. In 2016, President Obama issued Executive Order 13800, which called for the development of a national cybersecurity strategy. The strategy includes a goal of increasing the number of Americans who are aware of and prepared for cybersecurity threats. The 2025 Cyber Awareness Challenge is one of the ways that the government is working to achieve this goal.
